Welcome to the first day of my 14-day Juice Fast. There are many people juice fasting right now, and I am glad to have your support. If this is your first day, congratulations on taking this step! Your body thanks you, and so do I. When we join together in support, it makes this process so much easier. Thank you SO MUCH to “THE JUICE MAIDS“, who are sponsoring this cleanse during an extremely busy time in my life. There have been so many comments on my last blog, and its exciting to have you along with me on this journey. I want to touch on some of the questions that came up recently about having will power to deal with cravings on your juice fast.
What is it that led you to start a juice fast? Did you look in the mirror and notice you have added some extra weight in the past few months? Are your clothes fitting a little tighter? Have you found you are not making the best food choices lately? Whatever it was, you got to a point where you decided you wanted to do something about it. That’s how it was for me. I decided I want to complete quarterly juice fasts, and I am at the 3 month mark now.

Spring is here, and the time is right…for cleaning out our body! I am starting my 14-day juice fast tomorrow. Would you like to join me? There are many reasons we should periodically cleanse our bodies. We are bombarded everyday by harmful substances such as bacteria, pesticides, food additives, and environmental pollutants. These toxins, as well as drugs and chemicals, are filtered out by an internal detoxification process and eliminated through our intestines. The human body can only take so much and our environment is getting worse.

Charlotte Gerson is the founder of the Gerson Institute and the daughter of Max Gerson, the creator of the Gerson Therapy. Born in Germany, she attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Charlotte owns the copyright on two excellent DVD’s describing the Gerson Therapy, showing recovered patients. The first one, “The Gerson Miracle” won first prize at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2004. The later one, “Dying to Have Known” describes the attackers’ claims and counters them with Surgeons and Professors showing cured, formerly terminal, patients treated with the Gerson Therapy and recovered.
Charlotte’s recent book, Healing the Gerson Way – Defeating Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases, written in cooperation with Beata Bishop. Sergei Boutenko is the author of several books on nutrition and wild edibles. When Sergei was 9 years old he was diagnosed with diabetes and told to take insulin shots for the rest of his life. Instead of taking the conventional approach, Sergei changed his diet and began a vigorous exercise regime. Within several months, Sergei had reversed his symptoms and received a clean bill of health from his doctor. Sergei holds a degree in Communication from Southern Oregon University. When he is not teaching, he spends his time filming and editing educational films related to diet and edible plants.
