Charles Patterson is a writer, editor, social historian, therapist, animal advocate and award-winning author of eleven books. His most recent book–Eternal Treblinka: Our Treatment of Animals and the Holocaust (Lantern Books)–is in its third printing and has been translated into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Polish, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Japanese and Russian. He is a member of PEN, The Authors Guild, and the National Writers Union. Patterson grew up in New Britain, Connecticut and is a graduate of Amherst College, Episcopal Theological School, Columbia University (Ph.D.), and the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. He lives in New York City with his two cats, ET and Gilbert.
