A special treat- we have a replay for you of our Rawpalooza panel, which featured raw food leaders Jenny Ross, Chef BeLive, Dan “The Man” McDonald, Jackie and Gideon Graff, Bryan Au, and Tina Pruitt.

This panel kicked off our Rawpalooza 2012 event in style. You’ll hear a variety opinions on how to follow a raw food diet, with some surprising similarities in philosophy and truth.

Jenny Ross: Jenny is the owner and executive chef of the living-foods restaurant 118 Degrees in Costa Mesa, California, has been a pioneering spirit of the raw-foods movement since 2000, beginning with her first Los Angeles café.As a chef, her unique creations have captivated customers nationwide, and her product line is available in health-food stores throughout the country.

Jenny works with clients of all backgrounds, motivating them toward more vibrant health while teaching them about the healing power of living foods. Her award-winning cuisine has drawn a celebrity clientele to her restaurant and has been a positive catalyst for changing many lives.

Brian James Lucas (Chef BeLive): Chef BeLive was executive chef and co-owner of Organica: the Living Cuisine, which was located in San Francisco in 1998-99.

He ranked high as one of the top chefs in the world for the Best of Raw contest in 2008 and 2009 but he received #1 Best Gourmet Raw Chef award of 2010.

He has a unique style that is definitely his own and everyone should have the pleasure of experiencing it. You can currently find his Mom’s Stuffed Bells recipe featured in Carol Alt’s new raw food book The Raw 50. Brian is an incredibly innovative and inspirationally intuitive person. He’s loving, compassionate, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people of many walks of life. His eBook titled Orgasm of the Taste Buds has 30 delicious and simple recipes.

Dan “The Man” McDonald: Dan has spent more than a decade eating a living raw diet and teaching others to do the same.

His “Life-Regenerator” YouTube channel has more than 52,000 subscribers and has received more than 11 million views! His clients have lost anywhere from 10 to 250 lbs. with his teachings and have literally changed their lives overnight with his advice and motivation. Recently, the raw food community awarded Dan with four “Best of Raw” Awards.

In addition to his work and love for the raw food community, Dan has a worldwide vision of helping more than 1,000,000 people from all walks of life eat more fruits and vegetables in order to live healthier lives.

Jackie Graff: Jackie has been teaching raw food preparation and food science for more than a decade. An RN with 40 years’ experience in various areas of patient care and education, Ms. Graff is considered one of the country’s top raw food chefs and nutrition consultants.

She continues to teach raw food lifestyle classes throughout the country, is an instructor for Hallelujah Acres® Culinary Academy, and at the Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach FL. She has been frequently quoted in print and broadcast news outlets, including the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Atlanta Woman magazine, Atlanta Jewish Life magazine, Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta, CNN Headline News, and North Georgia Today.

Jackie is the author of 23 theme raw food recipe books, and has produced two instructional raw food DVDs. Jackie also contributed articles to several national and local magazines.

Gideon Graff: Gideon has taught raw food preparation for almost a decade. His roles include raw food chef, health coach, and director of Sprout Raw Food, the Graff’s consulting and raw food catering and distribution business.

He has served as an instructor for Hallelujah Acres® Culinary Academy. Gideon has 35 years experience in food and hospitality management. An accomplished public speaker, he is experienced in both conference planning and fund raising.

Previously, Gideon and Jackie co-founded and operated the Sprout Café and Shinui Living Food Learning Center, a first-of-its kind center devoted to teaching and promoting the raw food lifestyle in Roswell, Georgia.
