Juice Feasting- Day 8

by Steve Prussack

Today met with some detox symptoms, lower energy, good mood, and a relaxing day.  Let’s get right to it.

The Juices

1.  Celery/ Spinach/ Cilantro/ Apple (little bit)
2.  Pineapple/ Red Grapes/ Ginger (One of my favorites)
3.  Cantaloupe (Just unreal)
4. Quart of “Sweet Greens” at Real Food Daily, West Hollywood (Celery/ Cucumber/ Kale/ Spinach/ Apple/ Ginger)
Snacks:  2 Coconuts and a cup of Organic Licorice Root Tea sweetened with a tbsp of Raw Agave Nectar (REAL raw agave nectar)

I drank a total of 1 Gallon of Juice today.

Lovin' The Pineapple/ Grape/ Ginger Juice!

Weight Loss

For the second day in a row, my weight has stayed the same. I weigh 176.  I have lost 6.4 pounds in 8 days (starting weight was 182.4).

Keeping it Mellow

Since I didn’t have a lot of energy today, I skipped any form of working out.  I got outside for a while, taking our companion animal Henry to the park so he could play with his dog friends.  I met a few people in the park, and told them about my Juice Feast.  They seemed really interested.  One of the guys asked me to recommend a juicer because he wants to start juicing.  The social group broke up when they all decided to go get lunch and I of course would have to go home and grab my next juice of the day.

Just Some Detox Symptoms

I woke up this morning with a runny nose.  It lasted a good part of the day.  I could feel my stomach churning off and on, more so in the evening.  It’s an odd sensation, but somehow feels good.  I am sure that my body is doing some serious work.  I believe it’s removing old waste that has been laying around for years.  This evening I started feeling a sore throat out of nowhere.  It lasted for about 15 minutes.  It felt like I was getting a bad cold, and suddenly, disappeared.  Interesting day.

Thank you for your comments and communicating with me here on the blog and also on my Facebook Fan Page at http://www.rawfoodfans.com

One last thing…I received a heartfelt recognition about my work from the legendary Viktoras Kulvinskas and his soul partner Richard Raw.  They posted a nice tribute to my work on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/187565694668808/  Check it out, it’s really wonderful.

I’ll be back tomorrow with an update.  It’s only day 8, so I am feeling…1 day at a time…just 1 day at a time.  :)
