Sarma, proprietor and co-founder of NYC raw restaurant Pure Food and Wine (purefoodandwine.com), is harvesting her many talents and varied life-experience towards realizing her vision: presenting raw food and the raw lifestyle as accessible and fun, thereby increasing the appeal of living healthier to the largest possible audience. Sarma is also the founder and CEO of One Lucky Duck Holdings, LLC which operates the online boutique oneluckyduck.com. Her company also produces and packages a line of One Lucky Duck raw snacks available online and at her One Lucky Duck Juice and Takeaway shop just around the corner from the restaurant.

Sarma is the co-author of Raw Food Real World, and has just completed her second book, Living Raw Food, due out this year. Sarma spent 5 years working in investment banking and private equity before she left to attend culinary school. A few years later she found her way to raw food. She is 36 years old and lives in NYC with her two (raw) cats and her boyfriend of 2 years.
