Contest Deadline: July 14th, 2010

Winners: 5 winners will be notified via e-mail by July 15th, 2010. We will also announce the winners on our upcoming radio shows.

Festival Information: The Mystic Garden Party will be taking place in Northern California from July 21-26th, 2010. Michael Franti and Spearhead will headline the 4th Annual Mystic Garden Party (MGP), adding to an all-star cast of musicians including Brett Dennen, Jill Sobule, Random Rab, Dave Stringer Band and many more! “Music is sunshine,” says Michael Franti. “Like sunshine, music is a powerful force that can instantly and almost chemically change your entire mood. Music gives us new energy and a stronger sense of purpose.”

In the mid-Nineties, Franti first formed Spearhead, and increasingly in recent years, he’s found his own voice musically and his own organic brand of popular success. Franti and Spearhead’s last album, 2008’s All Rebel Rockers – recorded in Jamaica with legendary producers and players Sly & Robbie – became the biggest hit of Franti’s career, hitting the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, and yielded his biggest hit, the Top 20 “Say Hey (I Love You).”

In addition to nationally renowned musicians, MGP, a non-alcohol event, offers participants five nights of outdoor camping and a family friendly atmosphere. For the first time in MGP’s history, a Yoga Camp and an Ecstatic Dance Camp (co-sponsored by Conscious Dancer Magazine) add to an extensive array of workshops and presentations on topics such as sustainability, raw and living foods, drumming, meditation, visionary and healing arts, and more.
In light of the recent Gulf oil spill, MGP is particularly committed to raising awareness to our connection with water and how important good stewardship of water is for the quality of our lives today and for a sustainable future. MGP will feature a live webcast of the Global Water Ceremony inspired by Dr. Masaru Emoto, renowned water emissary and star of the hit documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know.” The Global Water Ceremony will draw an unprecedented number of participants from around the world and will begin a national water awareness effort in conjunction with the United Nation’s “Decade of Action” campaign.

MGP Founder and Director Phil Lindsey states, “MGP is more than a festival. It represents part of a growing health and sustainable lifestyle movement. Our intent is really to raise the consciousness of humanity through music, arts, education, and ceremony. MGP is a party with a purpose.”

MGP is proud to be an eco-friendly event aiming for as ZERO WASTE as possible. In addition to use of recycling bins, attendees will be encouraged to use water bottles water bottle (rather than using plastic); green kits will be given to all vendors, encouraging food vendors to use plates & cups that are washed & reused (for a deposit), and carpooling opportunities will be posted on the festival website. A solar powered stage is also in development to reduce energy consumption.

Ticket Information: Tickets are available now at or by calling 888-966-2568. Purchase a three-night pass for Friday July 23rd-Monday July 26th, which includes camping, for $120 until June 25th or until supplies last. Prices increase as the event date nears. I’m totally diggin your show lately. I think you have a great approach to your guests and presenting the information in a non-judgemental way. I especially liked your past few guest, and have shared the podcasts with my non vegan/raw friends…and they loved it! I love SHARIF KAMAL’s podcast, and found myself knodding my head through the whole thing. Mr. Robbin’s was fantastic too. I appreciate the questions you ask, because those would be the questions I would ask. Super informative….Thank you for all you do and the information you bring out to the forefront of issues and health concerns I’ve been interested in. Keep on Keepin on! Love Ya!

I totally love your show and have definitely benefited from it over the months, possibly years even! For that reason, I am totally cool giving you some plugs and being entered into this contest. I left a review on ITunes and also twittered about the music festival. It really sounds incredible!

We live in Canada but with some tickets we would totally head down on a road trip!!

Thank you for all that you do for the health of this planet!

HI! I am trying to enter your contest but after I enter my name and email it won’t allow me to submit. I wrote a review on itunes and posted that I would love to attend Mystic Garden Party with Raw Vegan Radio as my Facebook status. Is there something else I need to do?
